Job Purpose:
- The Finance Business Partner is
responsible for the management of all the financial and investment
functions of the division by adhering to the design, implementing,
maintaining and updating sound financial systems and procedures which
help to safeguard the Companies interests.
Finance Business Partner Job Responsibilities In Kenya
- Create /adjust BOM’s for all
confectionery products in the Enterprise Resource planning system to
drive produce timely and accurate consumer division profitability
reports
- Monitor quantity and price variances
of materials viz-a-viz the consumption regularly to safeguard the middle
line thereby driving the bottom line
- Carry out the cost accounting for all raw materials and all engineering procurements to ensure adherence to CAPEX budgets
- Ensuring reduction in Cost of
Production by closely monitoring activity rates, overheads and material
consumption every accounting period.
- Provide strategic insights to the GFC
to drive budgetary and financial planning process and carry out
preventive as well corrective measures.
- Brainstorm with the BUH – CD and Head
of Production to analyze the cost impacts of the current market trends
on the costing of the products
- CAPEX appraisal for confectionery Division
- Ensure value stream costing measures
for confectionery division are accurately done to enable reports to be
used in forecasting and Value stream improvements
- Liaising with production planning staff to provide any financial information related to production
- Acting as a liaison between the sales /
marketing team and the production / engineering team to understand the
current market trends and conduct feasibility studies for new products.

- Guidelines: Financial Controller in collaboration with BUH.
- Decision Making: Decision maker – Financial Controller.

- Monitor montly business usage cost to ensure that all the provisions are adhered to by all the departments;
- Maintain an up to date database for all the support contracts with relevant documentation; and
- Breakdown of network maintenance costs per site per month for site performance review.

Principal Officer Job Responsibilities In Kenya
- Provide and present Monthly
depreciation and additions variance analysis to the Senior Manager –
Decision support, and the HOD, Business Planning and Commercial Support;
- Review of Capital Projects being
undertaken, in liaison with the user departments, with an aim of
assessing the impact of specific projects on the overall Company Budget
plan;
- Update the Capex budgets in Oracle as may be required by the departmental budget holders;
- Load all Capex budgets into Oracle on a timely basis after necessary approvals;
- Provide Projections on expected additions at year end, with recommendations to ensure department Capex budget target is met;
- Review all Capex Business case to ensure completeness and provide input on investment returns;
- Prepare and share quarterly reports on spend and capex balance to user departments;

- Prepare a Monthly monitoring dashboard for warehouse equipment and present to Senior Manager Decision;
- Liaise with stakeholders to obtain
tentative completion dates for projects in CWIP, so as to verify the
accuracy of WIP and advice the Treasury Team for hedging purposes;
- Monitor monthly reporting on overhead capitalization costs and ensure accurate capitalization to projects;
- Conduct variance analysis between actual and forecasted monthly Nopex;
- Support internal customers with all Network elements and costs information as required;
- Preparing Capex and Nopex budgeting and re-forecasts in line with submission deadlines; and
- Preparation of additions, Depreciation and capex cash flow forecasts for updating the budget plans.
